魔物が住む町、京都。今は存在を忘れかけているけれど、その存在を完全に無視したとき、彼らがまたやってきて・・ 「現代の京都に封印されたはずの魔物が現れる。」 こんな奇妙とも思われる題材の小説本を、私は出張前に「読み物が手元に無いよりましだ。」ぐらいの気持ちで買いました。開けてみると、読み応えが十分！興味深い！SFとか怪奇小説ではありません。歴史や風土、京都という不思議な町。そして、魔物の存在を認識させられました。 柴田よしきさんの他の作品も読みたくなりました。

「真の役割はそれを果たす時になれば自ずとわかるものです」
私の好きな“珠星”の言葉です。
京都を舞台にした物語ですが..漫画のような読み物です。
（よしきさんに怒られそう）
しかし脚本がシッカリしていますので、漫画より面白いです。
一家に一冊、妖怪対策マニュアルでもあり、京都の歴史書でもあります。

こんな書き方をすると、いったいどんな散文なのか、判りませんね（苦笑）。
京都という狭い範囲で発生する奇怪な現象…主人公の木梨香流の男っぽさも魅力です。
ジェットコースターのように次から次へと展開して行く脚本の面白さ。
やっぱり娯楽ですね。肩肘張らない本が読みたければ、お薦めします！

　封印が解かれ、京の都を駆け巡る妖怪たちが楽しいサスペンスパニックもの。ハチャメチャだがスケールがとにかくデカい！しゃべるヤモリ（このヤモちゃんの設定が秀逸である）が超キュート。
　サバイバルアクションのみならず、時を超えた恋物語も見逃せません。
