「本嫌いの子どもにも大人気」というような売り文句につられ、活字離れの進む長男のために手にしました。

表紙をめくってみると、ユーモアたっぷりのイラストあり、手書き風漫画あり、２こまパラパラ漫画あり。小学生の子どもたちが楽しんだのはもちろんのこと、大人にとってもなかなか新鮮。しかも、日本語訳もクールでいい感じ。

「パン・ツー・まる・みえ　パンツマーン！」
「必殺パーンツ！」（実際にやってみたら結構飛ぶので驚き）

続編も原書も読むぞー、と見事にはまってしまったのでした。

コミックみたいな感覚で読める痛快コメディ。
コメディものが好きな人、ガッコーやセンセーがあんまり好きじゃなかった人なら、多分楽しめると思います。
くすくす笑いながら、あっという間に読了。やみつきになって、現在５冊まで出ている全シリーズを集めることになるかもしれません。

文法はかなり簡単。単語は意外に知らないもの（高３までに習わないもの。オムツとか）が出てきますが、知っておいて損はないものばかり。

話の内容もさることながらイラストが絶妙です。イラストを見ながら物語を読んでいくと本当に面白くて、笑いをこらえることができません。電車の中では読めない、というコメントもうなずけます。
