いままで読んだ中で、私の心を暖かく、そして熱くさせた本はこの、トムブラウンジュニアのグランドファーザーです。きっと、魂や自然そして精神世界やソウルメイトの本を探して、きっとここにだどりつかれた方が多いと思います。そういう本や教えが好きな方や求めている方なら、とても理解できる本だとおもいます。私は、この本が大好きです。トムブラウンジュニアさんの本はこれが初めてです。他に出版されているものもこれから購入して読んでいく予定で、ウィッシュリストにもいれてあります。

グランドファーザー（アメリカンネイティブの知者の呼称）から著者が生きる術を学んでいく過程を読みやすく書いていて、はまった。
本当の意味のサバイバルをこの本を通して知った。
そして、人間の可能性を信じることができた。

調べたところ、著者はこのサバイバル技術をスクールを開いて教えている様で、日本にもその分校みたいなものがあるらしい。是非参加したいと思っている。
この、切羽詰った世の中で生き方みたいなものを探している人に読んでもらいたいと思う。
この本を通して、多くの恵みを得たと思っています。

友人の本を借りて読んだのですが、改めて購入しようと思いました。

「グランドファーザー」は、トム・ブラウン・ジュニア氏の著書の中で私が最も好きなもののひとつである。すべての人々に通用するシンプルな大地の技術と哲学を後世に残すという使命のため、約60年間原野を放浪し続けたグランドファーザー。自然に存在するもの全てに対する彼の敬意の念と愛情に私はただ感動せざるにはいられなかった。環境問題を真剣に捉えている方、ネイティブ・アメリカンの生き方に興味のある方、自然が好きな方、また今の社会に疑問や危機感を感じている方々、この本を読むことで自然を含む周りのもの全てに対する見方が180度変わると私は思う。また、読者によってはこの本が人生における何か次のステップのきっかけになると私は信じている。

私も恩師からこの本を薦められてから、ブラウン氏の創設したアメリカの「トラッカー・スクール」に通った。日本にもブラウン氏の教えを受け継ぎワークショップを開いている方々がいるので、興味のある方は是非インターネット等で確認してもらいたい。
