内容的にはその名のとおり、平井さんが手がけたアニメのキャラクター等が収録された画集です。
絵自体は綺麗に印刷されており、タッチやセンスなどがより深くわかります。
メインはSEEDですが、他にもスクライド等2作品があります。
SEEDで平井さんを知ってもっと知りたいと思い購入すると、SEEDの優しい印象が強く、他のを見て新鮮に感じられます。
ラフはおまけ程度な感じです。

ただ、SEEDの方はゲームやアニメ雑誌を買っている方には、
結構見たことのある絵が多く感じられると思うので新鮮味はないかもしれません。
改めて文字とかはいっていなくて見れるのはいいですけどね。
DVDジャケットも収録されています。

インタビューとかはないので純粋に平井さんの絵をもっと知りたい方などに最適です。
もっと描いている環境とかインタビュー等も見たかったかな。

某所で「ガンダムＳＥＥＤ版権イラストをほぼコンプリートして収録予定」
とあったので購入しましたが、コンプリどころか選択が極端です．
予定が変わったなら訂正して欲しかったですね．
オフィシャルでもほとんど情報出ていませんし、結論から言えば一部のファン向けの画集です．

内容構成は、四分の二が「ガンダムＳＥＥＤ」、四分の一が「スクライド」、
四分の一が「リヴァイアス」と「ガルキーバ」です．
雑誌掲載分は表紙から、DVDはジャケット特典トランプなど、他メディアからちらほらと再録です．
描き下ろしはガルキーバ以外の三点．見たような構図ばかりで目新しさはありません．
帯でそれぞれの一部を見ることが出来ます．

ＳＥＥＤはキラとアスランが殆どを占めます．次いでラクスとカガリ．
サブキャラはおまけ程度．ザフト軍のファンは買わないほうがいいです．

スクライドは主役二人をメインに、比較的全キャラ掲載？

リヴァイアスは集合絵が多い．EDイラストも掲載．
ガルキーバはほんの数枚です．

ラフスケッチも数枚載っていますが、荒すぎてどのキャラだかわかりません．

購入を迷っている方は、出来れば書店で内容確認をさせてもらったほうが
後悔せずに済むと思います．

私は平井さんの大ファンで、このロマンアルバムは発売前から凄く楽しみでしたが、本を開いてみて綺麗な絵だなぁと改めて思わされました。まだ平井さんの絵を見たことのない人もseedから絵を気にいった人でも、ぜひ見てほしい一冊です。☆が４つなのは、書き下ろしが少し少ないからです。私は平井さんの絵が好きなので、大体描かれている本は買ってしまうので、同じ絵をみることになります。なので、私のような人には物足りなさを感じるかもしれないですね。春に、２冊目が予定されているようですが、次を楽しみにしたいと思います。
