もうこれは私の人生になくてはならない大切な本です。
初版の頃に買って、ボロボロになった今でも手元に置いてちょくちょく見ています。
作品を選ばれたのが高名な映画評論家・作家という玄人さんたちなので、中にはムズカシイかも..というものもあります。それでも、好きな理由の箇所を読むと不思議と「なるほど、納得」させられてしまいます。コメントそのものがひとつの作品みたいな美しさを持っています。ホントに豪華なアンケートだわ。。
この本に載っているのが本当の名画なんだ、と10代で次々と観てしまったため、幸か不幸かハリウッド娯楽映画のよさが未だに解らず。。人生変わってしまったかも。

ただ、芸術性を求めたりする人だけがコメントしているわけではなく純粋に娯楽として楽しんでいる方も多いので、ちゃーんと「ローマの休日」や西部劇が入っているところもいいです。

ベスト150に入っている映画は映画史そのものといえるかもしれません。

若い人にも是非読んでもらいたいです。本当にお薦めです。

思い出深い本です。

私にとって人生を変えた一冊、と言っていい。


学生時代にこの本に出会い、それから10数年。

この本に紹介されている全152作品を見ることが出来ました。

“映画好き”という人は多いけど、名画という時の風化に耐えたものの重みは
単なるヒット作とは明確に区別できると感じます。


わたしは映画からいっぱい愛をもらった


映画解説者の淀川さんの名言ですが、名画152作品を見ることで私も実感を持って
同じことを言えます。

ほんの10年前はレンタルビデオ屋に行っても借りられない作品が多くありました。
しかしいまは著作権切れの安価なDVDで発売されていたり、ヤフオクや図書館の映像資料
などで全152作品は誰でも視聴可能です。

ぜひ、この”人類の遺産”ともいえる名画を楽しんでみてはいかがでしょうか。

しっかり映画を観てこられた皆さんのコメントが最高。洋画の本は、これ一冊で全てバッチリＯＫ。
