伊藤 たかみ
1971年兵庫県生まれ。95年早稲田大学政経学部在学中に、「助手席にて、グルグル・ダンスを踊って」で第32回文藝賞を受賞しデビュー。2000年「ミカ!」(理論社)で第49回小学館児童出版文化賞、06年「ぎぶそん」(ポプラ社)で第21回坪田譲治文学賞、「八月の路上に捨てる」(文藝春秋)で第135回芥川賞を受賞する(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

以前『リセット・ボタン』で失望していたので、芥川賞受賞作(旧聞だが)にも期待していなかったが…… 。お手軽に若者の生態を描いたのではない点も伝わってくる。若い結婚の実態も、それなりに書けていると思う。

しかし、精神を病むに至った妻への、本音に満ちた(？)悪意ある描写、ミニマムで緊張感はあるものの、いまどきの会話を引きうつしたけんか腰の地の文に、いい気分はしなかった。おまけに、キーパーソンらしき人を「水城さん」と「さん」づけで呼んでおきながら、一人称ではないとは！　この違和感、不快感は最後までぬぐえなかった。

３つの短編のうち、個人的には「安定期つれづれ」がとても良かった。表題作は、安定期つれづれに比べると確かにあまり感銘を受けなかったが・・・。

なぜレビューでこれほど評価が低いのだろうか？この本は、２００ページほどしかないが多くの時間を割いて読んだ。とても温かみのある本だったし、内容はそれほど明るくないのに登場人物たちの明るさが際立っていた。

恋愛ってお互いの気持ちのズレとかで本当にすぐ軋轢が生じてしまう。
主人公のような疲れを味わう前に俺はすぐ自分勝手に関係を終わらせてしまう方なんだけど、なぜか気持ちがよくわかった。
自動販売機の女の人との交流にイマイチ味が無かった。
貝から見る風景もなかなかよかった。
