野沢 尚
1960年、愛知県生まれ。日本大学芸術学部卒。83年、『V.マドンナ大戦争』の脚本により城戸賞準入賞。99年、テレビ脚本『結婚前夜』『眠れる森』で向田邦子賞受賞。小説家としては97年、『破線のマリス』で江戸川乱歩賞を受賞し本格デビュー。同年、『恋愛時代』で島清恋愛文学賞、2001年、『深紅』で吉川英治文学新人賞を受賞。2004年、急逝(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

この巻ではリュウジが恋をする。サッカー選手としてリーガで戦う姿にはワクワクしたが、ピッチの外では初めての本当の恋に苦しむ事になる。心の描写が多く描かれているので、前作よりも更に感情移入して読めた。

※サッカーの描写は完璧と言って良いが、サッカーを知らない人にはわけがわからずに苦痛かも知れません。

　話は前作01ー02の続編になっていて舞台はスペイン。日本にはめずらしい個人技を得意とする龍時のサッカーに対する苦悩や人間関係が細かく描かれている。
　読んでいくうちに自分が龍時になっているかように物語に吸い込まれ試合中は手に汗を握ってしまった。サッカーにおける戦術、技術も詳しく書いてあるし、リーガの選手やチームも実名で登場するのである程度サッカーに対して知識がある方がのめり込めると思う。
　先に01ー02を読む方がおすすめ。サッカーマンガみたいに「それは人間には無理だろっ！！」っていうのはないので好き。

前シリーズでスペインへと旅立ち、一回り成長したリュウジ。
今回はレンタル移籍先での出来事が舞台。
まだリュウジ１７歳であった･･･。

そう、リーガエスパニョーラで優勝争いに食い込んでいくのである。
そこで巻き起こるサブメンバーとして、サッカー選手としての問題、そしてマリアとの苦しい恋。
そして最後にリュウジを待ち受けるのは青い炎を纏ったチームだった･･･。

かっこいい、素直に言える。
リュウジに今の日本サッカーを重ねてしまう･･･、あぁ、リュウジがいれば。

サッカーの小説としては明らかに日本最高の一冊。
次のシリーズが最終巻となるのだが、この傑作の余韻にもっとひたっていたい・・・。
