もうこれは読んで頂くしかないのですが、しみじみと読ませる中・短編小説集です。『幽霊の家』の幽霊？の老夫婦の日常と変わりない仕草とか、複数の作品で言及されているドラえもんとのび太の日常へのあこがれとか、何でもない生活を幸せと意識しない時間の幸せさ。慌ただしい日常の中でハタと一瞬思考を停止させてくれます。登場人物は毒殺されかけたり、無理心中に巻き込まれたり、幸せなばかりではないのですが、幸福ということをしっかりと考えさせてくれる作品集でした。
作者はあとがきで、「これまで書いた自分の作品の中で、いちばん好き」と書いているが、同感です。

　よしもとばななさんの作品には二冊しか触れた事のない僕です。

　彼女の描く世界には、いつも（といっても二冊だけですが）体温を感じる。
日常を描くとかそういう事よりももっと、日常に、自分が「人」だと感じる、
そんななにかを描いているように思う。

　この短編集を読んでいる時、自分がなくしてしまって、飢えている、
ある、「ぬくもり」を感じて胸苦しくなったり、いまだにまわりにありつづけてくれている
暖かさを思い出してほっとしたりする。
熱すぎも冷たすぎもしない、ちょうど体温のような温度。
それはなにもないということではない。
人間のちょうどのぬくもりを感じるのである。
日本人独特の感性ではないかと思ってしまう。

　普段はちっともよしもとばななさんを思い出さなないのだけれど、久々に読んでみて、
とても良かった短編集でした。ちなみにカバーデザインと作者にとっての「最も好きな作品」
という部分につられて買いました。

　忘れていた、ずっとまえに、よしもとばななさんの本を、本当におずおずとすすめてくれた
とってもやさしい女の子を思い出しました。

よしもとばななにはあまり興味がありませんでしたが、
「これまで書いた自分の作品の中でいちばん」という帯にひかれて読みました。
カバーの写真も明るいシガーロス的な世界が出ていて興味を持ちました。
非常に面白く読みました。
なかでも、「ともちゃんの幸せ」は傑作だと感じました。
小説としての正しい倫理観のようなものがにじみ出ていて、心地よい読後感でした。
どの短編も広く愛される小説だと思います。
