マンションの管理費って何に使われているのか。マンションに住む人もあまり関心を持っていないと思うが、この本は現状のマンションの管理の状況をよくあらわしてくれているのではないだろうか。建物自体の管理は、専門の管理会社が行っている場合が多いが、委託をしている管理組合は居住人で構成され、建物のメンテナンスのことについては素人。つい管理会社におまかせになってしまうところに、業者もつけいるすきがあるのだろう。共同住宅ゆえ建物を長く住みよく維持するためにも、管理費にチェックを行い、将来の大規模な修繕のためにも無駄な出費をおさえることが必要。この本は管理費のチェックのポイントを教えてくれると同時に、住民の管理に対する意識の重要さを訴えている。
