これは「日本国債」で一躍有名になった幸田真音さんの本です。 彼女の作品は出身が外資系金融機関ということもあり、日系金融機関との対比が多いです。

外資系金融機関に対しての日本の評価は、冷酷であるとか収益第一主義であるなど、なにかマイナスなイメージを植え付けられている感がありますが、実際に外資系金融機関で働いている人も、真剣に日本の将来を心配している人が多くいます。 この本は、そういった意味でも面白いです。

では、なぜこの本がこれだけ面白いのに星４つかというのは、性的な描写が結構多く、この部分はある程度削除してもいいかなと思ったからです。

大変スピーディーな展開の小説です。かといって推理小説ではなくノンフィクション小説で大蔵省と銀行との関係や外資系金融機関と日本の金融機関の関係もわかりやすく描いています。
現代的なタッチで書かれた小説であり、ストーリーの展開からテレビドラマを見ている感覚になります。

いやぁおもしろかったです。

筆者は小説『日本国債』でも市場を操作するストーリー展開を逆説的に用いて、市場を冒涜する行為を戒めています。
ヒロインが真実を暴いていく姿は経済小説にはまらない一人の女性のドラマであり、一方で世界金融のパワーゲームの中で日本特有の国民性に起因する歪みに警鐘を鳴らした経済小説と言えると思います。
登場人物が非常に多くて何度も立ち位置を確認しながら読み進めましたが、それだけに市場がいろんな人に影響を与える世界なんだと改めて感じました。

タイトルにヒロインの行動の真理が込められていますね。読み終わった後納得。
女性特有の武器をも行使してしまいますが、これも深層の「傷」をテコにしての行為だし、身を挺してすべてを裁こうとした姿に哀しみを感じます。
男性なら犠牲を払うにしても違う方法を取るでしょうね。
並の女性では不可能であろう金融の世界であのポジションを勝ち取るに至った過去を少しずつ明らかにしていきます。
女性作家だからこそこうした繊細な心理を表現できるのだろうし、この結末を導いたヒロインの生き様と決意が最後までこの小説の厚みを支えています。
