収録されている２編の小説は、まるでパンク・ミュージックのように、最後までハイテンションで突っ切ります。
その独特の世界に感服しました。こんな発想は一体どこから出てくるのだろうかというくらい、最高に奇抜で独特な世界が構築されています。
それは、くだらない事を必死に考えに考え抜いた末に、出来上がった世界なのです。
一つ一つのネタが、いい意味でくだらなさのＭＡＸを振り切っている感じです。

また、すばらしいなと思ったのは、主人公に最低限の道徳観を持たせた点です。わかりやすく言うならば、主人公は「つっこみ」の役目を果たしています。本作は、どいつも好き勝手やってばかりの「ボケ」ばかりですが、そこにちゃんと主人公が「つっこみ」を入れることで我々一般人にも感情移入する余地を作者は与えてくれています。
そのバランス感覚が見事です。私は、本作が町田康氏の初体験でしたが、そんな氏の才能に感服いたしました。

町田康の独特の文体は、読む人に軽快なリズムと爽快感を与えてくれます。そのスピードは止まることなく最後まで走り抜けるように読む人を殴りつけます。おもしろくて、少々浮世離れしているかと思いきや、それは隣の部屋で行われているかのごとく近い存在の様な。抽象的な表現になるが、自分の中がパッとするというか、そしてホッとする。酒でも飲みながら一人でげらげら笑って酔っ払う。そんな世界観が見えた。広くて狭い、自分と世界の距離。深い意味を帯びているだろう話に、笑いというオブラートをかけて展開されるさまは、まさに町田ワールド一色で頭がさがります。
