私の好きな浅田次郎氏の推薦する日本文学秀作選シリーズということで丹念に読んだ。

普段は文章がやや難解で中々手にしない森鴎外作品も集録されているため、乱読読書人の私にとって新たな刺激となった。

日本文学を改めて見直すことの出来る１冊である。

森鴎外、芥川龍之介など過去の文豪が書いた名作集です。
特にこれらの作品は若い人たちに読んでほしいと思います。
過去の人々が感じたことが小説を読むことで垣間見れるかもしれませんよ。

　浅田次郎編纂の日本文学短編集。全13編が収録されている。
　おもしろいかおもしろくないかは、結局は好みの問題だが、肉欲、耽美的なイメージの強い川端康成の本書に収載されている『死体紹介人』には「おやっ!?」と思わせられ、山本周五郎の『ひとごろし』には「さすがにうまいなぁ」と感じいった。
　読み応えある1冊ではある。
