読み終わって、清貧という精神世界や、価値を垣間見れたような気がした。どこかで救われるような気がするし、潔い生き方に強く惹かれる。著者である中野氏に敬意を表す。この本を世に出してくれてありがとうとうと。まだ読まれていない方、お薦めします。良い本です。

本書は、バブル直後にベストセラーとなった。
よく書店に平積みになっていたのを覚えている。
依然当時と変わりない現実がある現在、
当時この本に刺激を受けた人々は、どうなったのか？
この本に例示されている、良寛、池大雅、西行、
光悦、芭蕉、兼好の価値観は所詮偉人のなせる業ととらえるのか、
お手本としようとするのかは、読み手の心次第。
一冊の本の影響力は、小さいかもしれないが、
確実に読み継がれなければいけない本である。

中村うさぎさんのエッセイで、
『清貧の思想』が触れられていて興味を持ち、読みました。
（触れられているといっても数行でしたが･･･）

私自身、
俳句や詩などにはほとんど接してこなかったので、
取り上げられている俳句などは、
十分に良さを理解できませんでしたが、
紹介されているエピソードなど、
基本的には「読んでよかった」と思える内容でした。

お金や物などに関して、
「足るを知る」
ということの大切さを教えてくれている部分は特に素晴らしいです。

現代の日本人は考え方を改めるべきかもしれませんね。

この本のおかげで、『徒然草』に興味が出たので、
近いうちにキチンと読んでみようと思いました。

全体の評価としては、星４つです。
