「ファミリーアフェアー」が、お勧めです。何度も読みかえしたほど。妹の結婚話を機に、少しずつ、変わり始める「僕」と「妹」の関係。それは、あたりまえのように繰り返されていた「僕」の日常の中に、「戸惑い」をもたらした。

「僕」が、変わっていく「妹」との関係を透かして、変わろうとしている「日常」をぼんやりと眺め、受け入れていこうとする…　そんな「僕」の心の奥に見え隠れしている「妹」への優しさが、この話を包んでいます。いつもの村上春樹ワールドに、どこかしらの優しさがブレンドされて、ほっとさせられる１話でした。

「ねじまき鳥クロニクル」の序章となる「ねじまき鳥と火曜日の女たち」を含む短編集。ちょっとした日常が、なにかによって損なわれてしまう人達の話。そして、もとに戻れなくなってしまう人達の話。それをどう受け止めるのか？アンチクライマックスの先に、何かが見える作品。

私は、村上春樹氏の短編は一通り読んでしまいましたが、
本作に収録されている「パン屋再襲撃」が一番素晴らしいと思います。

村上春樹とマクドナルドの究極のコラボレーション作品とも言える、この一編のあらすじを目を閉じて静かに反芻すると、なぜなのか幸せな気持ちなってしまうのです。
