私が初めて読んだ群さんの本がこれです。
友達に「おもしろいよ」と勧められて
読んだのですが、本当におもしろかったです。

海外へ行ってまで犬に抱きしめられたり…
地震が起こると、家の中を猫の一家が走りまわったり…。

動物が好きなら、プッと笑えるお話が多いはず！
動物が好きな方に、すごくお勧めです！

ネコに住所録があるのか？これは疑問ですが、作者の視点で、裏通りのネコ、飼い猫通りのネコの縄張り、それを見守る大人達の様子が面白おかしく書いてあります。
結構ネコは自分のことを人間と思っているような感じで態度が大きいのですが、裏通りのネコはえさをもらう為には愛想を振りまき、それ以外は知らんぷり。飼い猫でも裏通りのネコの餌場で餌をもらうちゃっかりネコがいたりして、人間社会にも似ているかなあ？って思ってしまうところがおかしいです。

ネコが嫌いな人も当然いるわけで、その人に対しての対応なども大変な様子が書かれています。ほのぼのとした作品です。

とても平易で誰でも簡単に読める文章。そしておもしろい！内容は筆者とその一家(お母さんもかなりユニークな方です）と動物たち(特にネコと犬）との係わり合い、ふれあいを描いたもの。動物好きの人はモチロン、そうじゃない人でも充分に楽しめ、動物たちの奥の深さを教えられます。この本を読んだ後はその辺にいる犬やネコ、または蟻までも（！）気になってしょうがなくなるはず。また群さんの子供時代の回想にでてくるヘビ女の話、笑えます！人前では読まない方がいいかも。
