小沢昭一氏はいろいろな顔をもっている。

ラジオの「小沢昭一的こころ」での軽妙な語り手。

新劇の俳優。変哲という俳号で長年続けている俳句の

作り手。放浪芸を訪ね歩いての記録者。そしてこの本の

ようなエッセイストなど。

この「話にさく花」は、小沢氏の多様な活動のエピソー

ドを集めたエッセイであり、まさにこの多様さこそが

小沢ワールドであると認識できる格好な本と言える。

「月刊住職」なる本に連載された、話のプロたる住職さん

に、話術を教えるところは圧巻で、自分の地肌で話すこと

の大切さを伝えるなど、「話す」ということの本質が読者

にも伝わってくるよくできた、楽しい本である。
