第1章のタイトルは「金融工学で金持ちになれるか？」ですが，その答えは「なれない」です．金融工学は，世の中にはそんなうまい話はないということを示す学問だと思えば良いでしょう．

本書では，分散投資の理論，「ベータ」投資理論，先物取引，オプションといったトピックに対して，比較的平易に，これらにまつわる話なども交えながら解説してあり，難しい話に疲れることなく読むことができます．

何冊か金融工学の本を読みましたが，やさしい例題で解説されており読みやすい本だと思います．

金融工学というものを、あまり数式を用いずに説明している。金融工学の初歩をざっと見るには非常に良書。やや新書のレベルを超えているかな〜とおも思う。著者の一連の著作で素晴らしいのは、非常に読みやすいこなれた文章で説明されていることだろう。著者の「説明力」は本当に他を圧倒していると思う。

立ち読みで済ますには濃い内容と多い量。

再読するかどうかは、統計学への予備知識の量に依存すると思う。

類書は多い。代替は他書でも可能だとは思う。

・金融工学はお金を如何にして「増やし守るか」の人類の歴史である。そう考えれば、金融工学は数学ではなく「歴史」なのである。だから、この本は面白いのである。
・著者の野口悠紀夫氏は「超・・・」シリーズで有名な学者である。この本が『金融工学は「超」面白い』とならなかったのは何故かは分からない。
・数学嫌いだが、「金融工学のサワリ」は知っておきたい方には新書本でもあり、ピッタリの一冊である。
