色々な方のノートをみることはノート作りの参考にはなると思う。
しかし、受験生が本当に知りたいことは、どのようにしたら東大、あるいはその他の難関大学に合格することができるのか。ということに限るのではないだろうか。

この本の一部に３０代で東大理３に合格された方の記事があるが、この部分はそういった意味で非常に役立つ。

難関大学に合格するノウハウというものは、一部の有名進学校を除いて世間一般に知られていないのが現実であるので、エリートコースを辿って合格したのではなく、この方のように通信教材等を使い独学で合格した方の記事は、一般の受験生が読んで本当にためになる部分であろう。

その他の部分は参考にするというより、楽しみながら読めればいいと思う。

合格体験記などでノートの取り方などのアドバイスは読んで見たけど、これだけ沢山の、ノーベル賞学者や有名作家のノートは初めて見ました。この本には出ていない、谷崎潤一郎、司馬遼太郎、北里柴三郎、野口英世のなどの記念館で見た時には書き方まで余り注意してみてこなかったのが残念に思いました。42ページに30歳から東大医学部に合格した人の話で「大量の問題をこなすだけでは医学部には無理と反省して、分析した結果、どこが理解できていないのか？間違えやすいポイントはなにか？を自覚した量から質への勉強方法の転換をしたノート（間違えた問題と出題されそうな問題を抽出した）作りに変えた」その結果成績が再び伸び、合格したとの体験談が一番参考になりました。これ以外に具体的な点で、色々教えられることが沢山ありました。

前作は「美しい」としながらも、ちょっとべたな感じでした。
今作は写真などからして本当に美しかったので驚きでした。
『東大･･･』の本を書店で多く目にするようになりましたが、
東大を卒業した人々の足取りもたどり、
東大に合格したからどうのこうのではなく、
東大に合格する人はただ単に勉強ができるだけでなく、
どのように頭の中が整理されているか？
どのように仕事に活かしていっているのか？がよく分かりました。
その後、雑誌で京大ノートを見かけたのですが、
あまりの汚さに思わず笑ってしまいました。
