数独（ニコリの登録商標）とナンバープレイス（ナンプレ）は同じものですが、いまや世界中で「数独」の名で通っています。その数独の本家本元のニコリの精鋭作者が各自自薦した傑作だけを選りすぐり集めたのが本書。
問題のレベルも初心者向けから超難問まで色々で、数独の解法テクニックも掲載されていて（超難問はこれだけだと苦しいが、基本・重要テクニックは網羅されています）、初心者からベテランまで楽しめます。
表出数字（初めから埋まっている数字）の形や数字の美しさにも注目。ぜひ解く前にじっくり眺めて楽しんでください。
特に第100問は、解いて数字を埋めるのが惜しくなるほどの、奇跡的な傑作!!
数ある数独（ナンプレ）本の中で、もし1冊だけ買うなら、迷わずこれですが、これを最初に買って解いてしまうと、他の本が物足りなくなるかも。
買って、解かないで飾っておき、他の本を解いてから、最後に解くのが正しい使い方かも。それとも、2冊買って、1冊は解き、1冊は保存本にすべき？

数独の本もいろいろ出ていますが、その醍醐味を味わえる１冊としては最適。さすが「名品」というだけあって、易しい問題は絶妙な解き筋を持つものが選ばれているし、難しい問題もただ時間がかかるだけ、というのは別の次元の刺激があって飽きさせない。やっぱり数独はハンドメイドに限ります。

他のレビュアーのご意見に全く同感。傑作です。数独を解く醍醐味が存分に味わえる名作揃いで、「必解」図書です。

購入してから一年、時間を見つけては解いてようやく終了しました（フーッ）。とても満足です。

８８番と８９番が難易度最高峰だと思います。８８番は何日も睨んでようやく糸口を見つけました。８９番は理詰めで追い込めず、仮定法を使わざるを得ませんでした（仮定法を使わずに解けるのかな〜）。

再チャレンジしても十分に楽しめると思います。
