内容はおもしろいのですが、いまいちパンチがない感じがしました。タイトルとも合っていないし、鋭いエッセイを書く林真理子さんにしては少し物足りない感じがしました。

『目からウロコ』という章が、本当に目からウロコだった。

私も、共働きの妻、特に稼ぎの良い妻は、
家の中で大きな顔をしているのだと思っていた。
家計を共に支えているのだから、どう考えたって
そんなに小さくなっているハズがないではないか。

それなのに、現実は、専業主婦の妻の方が
夫に対して威張っている場合が多いという。
何故？　その理由は私には見当もつかなかった。

しかし、この章に書かれている理由を見て、
私も、林さんと同じように『目からウロコ』が落ちた。
なるほど、そんなからくりがあったとは･･･。

確か別の林さんの著書に
「マザコンというのは、母親のそばに
べったりくっついている男の事だけを言うのではない。
ずっと離れて暮らしていたり、
母親の事を口では嫌っているように言っている男も、
形を変えたマザコンである場合がある」

というような事が書かれてあったように記憶しているが、
これは本当にひとくくりには出来ない、
根深いテーマなのだなとつくづく思う。

週刊文春連載の・・・今夜もXXX（クスクスでしたっけ）思い出し笑い、
または「夜更けのなわとび」でしたか、その集大成---------------
"magnum opus"（代表作または集大成という意味のラテン語由来の英熟語ー
ジュリアロバーツが映画"シャーロットの贈り物"のなかでその言葉をキレイに発して
いました）。表紙はピーチシャーベット色で、まるで宝塚または
田辺聖子の世界のようにこの世のものでないゆめゆめしさです。

確かに書名「オーラの条件」というのには惑わされてしまう人もいるでしょう。
ﾊｳﾂｰ物ではありませんから。それに、中味は字ばかりでイラストの一つもありません。
つまり、見て楽しめる本ではありません。

ですが、今回の内容は悪くないと思います。

ただ、彼女にはもう少し掘り下げたなにかをかいてほしい。
着物を買うとか買ったとかそういうことは、もういいです。

レビューがすくないのにも軽い驚きを感じました。
