もはや水戸黄門的安定感となっている。

今、半分の2話読み終わったところだけど…。

主人公マコトに寄せられるトラブル。
これを友人の協力を得て解決していく。
色々あるけど無事解決。御代は要らない。
マコトの母を含めキャラが立っていて、わかりやすくて。
パターン化されているな、水戸黄門のような。

野球で言えば、コンスタントに2割8分20ホーマー打つ打者、
または、毎年10勝上げる投手。そんなところ。

2話3話くらいでポケットに入る文庫サイズにして、
地下鉄の売店で売ってくれれば、目的地に着く間に読めて、
そんな感じの読み方をしたいこのシリーズ。

ハードカバーなので仕方なく風呂でリラックスして読んでいるけどね。
おれ詐欺などの時事ネタのスパイスも存分に効いています。

ここ数作は、ちょっとイマイチな感があったが今回はいい感じに持ち直している。
理由の一つに、過去の事件を下敷きにした作品があるからと思う。初期の本当に
面白かった頃は、前作の登場人物が再登場して話に厚みが出来ていたのだが、最近は
常連以外は１回きりの登場で、今一つノリ切れない面があるからかもしれない。
でも、前作で出来た彼女といつのまにか別れたようだし。やはり常連キャラ以外は
動かしにくいのかな。

今作もオレオレ詐欺、絵画セールス、少年犯罪、自主制作映画…
など時事的な話題を上手くまとめて書いている。
シリーズファンもそうでない人も話にひきこまれるだろうが、
きっとあとは心に何も残らない。
そこを批判する人も多いが、
だが、それはそれででいいではないかと僕は思う。
ただただマコトの事件に引き込まれ、
読み終わったあとに重い気分にならなず、
また刺激がほしいときにいつでも読める本だって貴重だと思うのだ。
