私は大沢作品の大ファンである。
しかし、残念ながら本作は氏の作品としてはアベレージ以下だと思う。
裏社会で生きる水原という主人公の女性の造型は魅力的だと思うが、そもそも、「島ぬけ」をすると「地獄の番人」が追ってくるという設定自体が、あまりにも荒唐無稽、非現実的であり、「これだけのことで、そこまではしないだろう」と苦笑しながら読ませて頂いた。島に売られた少女が島を脱出したとして、何年もたってから「地獄の番人」が殺しに来ますかね？今の時代に「地獄の・・・」とは・・・。作品のおわり方からすると、続編がありそうだが、これ続編書くのでしょうか？

大沢作品を全作読んでいる人はともかく、そうでない人は、新宿鮫シリーズなど秀逸な作品がたくさんあるので、そちらをお薦めしたい。

女性主人公のハードボイルドで荒唐無稽な展開となると
普通は、敵の男が間抜けで、主人公が男顔負けの格闘技
エキスパートとか、そんなありきたりなものになりそうですが、

この主人公は弱いところも乱れたところもあり、大いに共感
できます。
ライバルもしっかり描かれていて緊張感が持続します。
楽しめました。

自称大沢フリークですが、この「魔女の笑窪」はどうかなぁ…
と、購入を躊躇っていました。
ハードボイルド系で女性が主人公だと、私個人的には結局最後『それ』を武器にするのか、パートナーとしての男性に頼るのか…みたいな、安易なストーリーだったりして。
でもまあ、表紙が綺麗だったので、とりあえず感覚で購入、まずは一読。と…思い読んでみると！
さすが、大沢小説！！はまる！！
なぜ、裏社会に生きる女性の気持ちがこんなにもせつなくタイトに書かれているのか。
大沢ファンはもちろん、大沢小説読み出しの方にもお勧め。
