　生まれながらに死者の残留思念を読む力を備えていた朔夜一心は、親元を離れ、一子相伝で力を磨き、能力者として孤高の道を歩んでいた。その一心が、失われた過去を求めてある地方都市を訪れた時、そこで謎の連続婦女暴行事件が起きた。従妹を暴行魔に殺され復讐を誓う刑事・河井と一心とが出会った時、運命の歯車は音を立てて廻り始めた……。　本書はＳＦ色の濃いミステリですが、太田忠司らしい読みごたえある作品で、特に中盤からラストにかけては臨場感たっぷりで目が離せませんでした。内容からシリーズ化になるのではないかとも思いますが、ぜひともシリーズ化してほしい作品ですし、次作にも大いに期待したいです。

人が死ぬときにその場に残る思いを「月導」として、それを読み解く人が「月読」。

そんな人が死ぬときの思いだなんて、ひとつ間違えば「怨念」ともなりかねないものを、その人のメッセージとしてミステリーのキーに持ってくるのは勇気が必要だったのではないかと思う。

しかしその「思い」があるからこそ、ミステリーとしても物語としても楽しめるものになっている。
