　今までにこれだけの諸葛孔明の本を読みましたよ。
　という方のリストにほとんど入っているのが、この【泣き虫弱虫諸葛孔明】で、題名から「･･･！？」と気になって仕方が無いものでした。

　ひとまず、この本の孔明は凄いです。
　決して、泣き虫でも弱虫でもないような印象を見受けるのですが、非常に悪戯心のある我が儘な孔明が描かれています（漫画、蒼天航路の変態ちっくな孔明の幼少期を見ているような気がします）。
　優雅でも清華でも穏やかでも無いような気がします。
　ですが、結構孔明自信は努力家のようです。

　幼少期から『三顧の礼』までが描かれていて、孔明嫁取りの話は非常に面白いです。他の本では簡単に描かれがちですが、この本では丸々紹介しています。

　孔明の心理描写もさることながら、作者である酒見氏の呟きにもにた解釈に抱腹絶倒するシーンは絶対にあるはずです。

のっけから酒見節全開である。
作者がひょっこりと出てきて執筆に至る経緯を述べる（もちろんこれとて作劇上の仕掛けではあるのだろうが）のは、かの衝撃のデビュー作「後宮小説」で既におなじみの手法だ。
中国史は不勉強だの三國志知らずだったのなんだのと言いながら、ひとたび書きだせば痛快無比の面白さ。
諸葛亮孔明は史上最高の軍師とは言うものの、つぶさに検証してみれば負け戦ばかり。……ひょっとして、ヘボ軍師？　
誰一人、露ほどもその疑いを抱かなかったことこそが謎だとうそぶく小気味よさ。
最近では「蒼天航路」の孔明がけっこう妖しい奴として描かれているが、この酒見版ほど無法でトホホな孔明像はかつてない。
「あの雄大な英雄叙事詩を茶化すのは許せん！」という強い思い入れのある方は読まないほうが無難かもしれないが、既存のイメージを裏切られる心地よさ、というのも読書の醍醐味であると思います。
もちろん、三国志を読んだことのない方でも面白く読めること請け合い。（人物名さえ覚えりゃあとは楽勝！）

〈小説＝ものがたり＝一種のホラ〉の楽しさを堪能できる一作。

　酒見先生の小説はどの作品も面白いのですが、この作品に限っては他の歴史作家が書いた三国志を数種類読んだ事の有る人で、特に通称三国志マニアの人が読めばその面白さが倍増すること請負です。三国志に出てくる有名なEpisodeの舞台裏を覗き見したような気になったり、何でその点に今まで気付かなかったのかと新発見に驚いたり、成る程そうゆう解釈も有るのかと納得したり、従来の三国志の常識を覆す内容が盛りだくさんです。
　題名から主役は孔明かと思いきや、実は劉備なのだそうで（作者がそう申しております）、特筆は劉備、関羽、張飛の三義兄弟の描写で、私が今まで読んだ三国志の中では最も人物像が活き活きと、生々しく、そして滑稽に（特に張飛が）描かれていました。
　逆に、三国志は全然興味が無いけど酒見先生のファンなので初めて読んだという人も知っていますが、やはり非常に面白かったと言っておりましたので、初心者の方が読んでも楽しめるようです。
