コミック派の高橋ファンです。
この本は「夢幻紳士　幻想篇」の続きのお話ですので、まだ読んでいない方は幻想篇からご覧ください。

　あの少し切なくて、優しくて素敵な余韻を残した幻想篇から、奇才高橋先生の紡ぎ出す怪奇の世界。
　幻想篇では少し高橋ワールドが控えめだったように感じましたが、こちらは「さすが高橋先生!」とうなるようなお話がいっぱいです。
　
　まみやの色気に当てられて、クラクラしつつホラーとミステリーの世界が楽しめます。まさに、高橋ワールドの「からくり」に感嘆のため息です。

　気になるラストシーンは、これまた良質の映画のエンディングのようで、スケールがあまりにも大きすぎて、私は胸がいっぱいになって不覚にも泣いてしまいました。

　幻想篇とはまた違った感動を与えてくれますよ。

という「夢幻外伝」の台詞が思い浮かぶ。 矢張り“夢幻魔実也”という男、こうでなくちゃいけない。時には残酷、だが女性には広大無辺に優しい。同じ男から見てもいい男。それにあんたはやっぱ昼間から飲んだくれてなきゃ!“手の目”のキャラクタも非常に魅力的で云うこと無し。 それにしても夢幻くん、禁煙かァ。愛煙家の僕としては同士を失ってチト悲しいなァ。迷宮編では続いてるのか、禁煙?

　マニアにはたまらない、ハヤカワミステリマガジン版夢幻紳士第二弾。夢幻紳士こと夢幻魔実也には２バージョンがある。帝都の少年探偵であるギャグっぽいバージョン(「冒険編」やマンガ少年版)と、この「逢魔篇」のような不思議な力を持った青年バージョンであり、青年バージョンは著者の他の作品にもゲストでちょいちょい顔を出す。
　特にこのハヤカワミステリマガジン版の夢幻魔実也は、青年バージョンの魅力が満載であり、筆で描いているという独特の絵のタッチと幻想と怪奇にあふれる話が、まるで明治の純文学のような雰囲気を醸し出している。この雰囲気に浸れる人には、この上なく満足な作品である。幻想文学や怪奇ものが好きなのに、高橋葉介を知らない、等という人がもしいたら、今すぐ買って読むべきだろう。前著の「幻想編」と続き物になっているので、そちらも読むこと。
　いい大人が、自信を持って「好きだ」と言える数少ない漫画に違いない。

　…なお、「冒険編」も文庫として同時発売されたので、この機会にそちらも買って、異なる夢幻魔実也を楽しむのもオススメ。
