のせてくる文章で、読んでいる途中で中断するのがもどかしいほど。映像のような描写。わかりやすく明快で、
ミケーレが妹に話す御伽噺など、読んでいるこちらのほうがその先を聞きたくなる。
また少年のお母さんの描写が、なんともイタリアっぽくていい。
もっと話の続きを知りたいと思う作品です。

映画を見た後の読書をオススメします。感動がよみがえります。本を読んでも、また涙が止まらず彼女に笑われました。彼女は映画を見ていないので、泣きはしませんでした。従って、映画を見てから読んでください。ストーリーは映画を見てからのお楽しみ、ということであえて触れません。イタリアの田舎の景色、素敵な音楽が脳裏によみがえります。（これって、映画の感想？と言われそうですが、れっきとした読後のレビューです。）

ミケーレ少年が愛おしい。きっと大人になったらイイ男になると思う。幼い妹をかばっておぶってやったり、眠れない夜にお話ししてあげたり。家族と友情と、正義と生活と、小さな手には余るような大きな問題にたくさんたくさん悩んで、成長していくんだろうなあ……こんなカンジですっかりハマッてしまったので、本日の映画初日にも行ってしまったが、これがまた予想以上にイイ出来！　日本人には体験し得ない、一面の金色の麦畑と鮮烈な青空がすばらしかった。もちろん少年少女もかわいいしね。原作には脚本に著者が参加してるそうで、かなり忠実。原作も映画もイイなんてなかなかないと思うので、とっても貴重。
