小川 一水
1975年岐阜県生まれ。1996年、『まずは一報ポプラパレスより』で長篇デビュー(河出智紀名義)。2003年発表の月面開発SF『第六大陸』が第35回星雲賞日本長編部門を受賞して以降、骨太な本格SFの書き手として期待が高まっている。また、2005年の短篇集『老ヴォールの惑星』で「ベストSF2005」国内篇第1位を獲得、収録作の「漂った男」で第37回星雲賞日本短編部門を受賞した(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

久々に読んだ本格的な日本の SF 小説である。決して派手ではないが緻密でじっくりと読ませてくれる。ツウな SF 好きの方にはぜひお薦めの、国産宇宙パニックサバイバル小説である。

ハヤカワ文庫は読まない非ＳＦファンですが、
おもしろく読めました。
細かなＳＦ設定などもありますが、読み飛ばしてしまっても問題なし。
基本的な宇宙の知識があれば楽しめる
エンターテイメント小説になっていると思います。
映画「ポセイドンアドベンチャー」のような
パニックものがお好きなだぜひ。

宇宙空間の軌道ステーションで、人的トラブルにより発生した大事故。
登場人物達が居合わせた区画は本体から分離し、軌道を外れて彷徨い始める・・・。

軌道ステーションの構造を始め、月へ移住した人々の状況や宇宙進出に伴う
社会情勢の動き等、かなりしっかりと練られている背景設定を基に、
非常にクセのある生存者達が、不安や恐怖や悲しみと葛藤しながら、生き残る
道を必死で模索します。
そして、災害モノでありながら、なぜか続編を期待してしまうようなエピローグ。

物語全体は読み易い筆致で、非常にテンポ良く進みます。特に終盤は途中で本を
閉じることが出来なくなるでしょう・・・。

ＳＦをあまり読まない人にも、正面切ってお薦め出来る良作です!!
