TVアニメの18話から最終話までを元に小説化したもの。前半は過去2巻と変わらず、物語の流れを追っているだけで小説としての面白さは感じません。
特にユーフォリア化した政府閣僚と悪役首魁の水天宮との戦いあたりは、そんな感じです。閣僚が順番に戦いを挑み、最終的には総理大臣と戦うという展開は、何なんでしょうか。読み手としての自分が馬鹿にされているような進行です。しかも、一人倒すごとに決めセリフらしきものを吐くので、赤面してしまいます。今時、こんなの有りなのかと、このレベルの低さは何なのかと思いました。でも、その部分を読んでいるうちに悪役であったはずの水天宮が正義の味方に見えてきてしまいました。
過去2巻は比較的善悪のはっきりした単純な印象でしたが、この最終巻では、登場人物の立場が微妙に変化し、楽しめる、と言えばよいのか、混乱するというのか、それぞれの、特に水天宮の複雑な背景が更に掘り進められ人間味が増しています。結局、水天宮が自身の欲望（望み）をかなえるために周囲の人間は振りまわされ、しかも、最終的に彼の望みは決して悪に染まったものではなかったと言う事が判明するのでした。さらに一番格好良い登場人物（主役？）であることも。
既巻の評価はかなり厳しくつけざるを得ませんでしたし、また、この巻も個人的には気に入らない部分が多数ありますが、最終的に大いに自分の思い込みを裏切って楽しませて頂いたので星5つの評価とさせていただきます。
しかし、これは小説化した仁木　稔氏の力なのか、それとも原作の力？どちらでしょうか？
