グインは、中原側からノスフェラスへと逃れるようにケス河をわたろうとする人々の一群を見た。そしてその一群が、突如武装した軍勢に襲われ虐殺されてゆくのを見て、思わず助けに飛び出す。一群はモンゴールの反乱軍であり、襲ったのはイシュトヴァーンみずからが率いるゴーラの討伐軍だった。グインは、イシュトヴァーンと再会するも、反乱軍に味方したことで捕らえられ、ゴーラ軍とともにルードの森に分け入ることになる。

栗本 薫
別名に中島梓。東京生まれ。早稲田大学文学部卒。77年中島梓名義の「文学の輪郭」で群像新人賞評論部門を受賞。78年『ぼくらの時代』で江戸川乱歩賞受賞。以後、作家・栗本薫、評論家・中島梓を使い分けて多彩な文筆活動を展開する。小説作品は、ミステリ、SF、時代小説、耽美小説と多岐にわたる(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

作者渾身のシリーズ。
まぁ当初100巻完結予定でS54からスタート！！
ここまでくると何処の巻でレビューを書くか迷ってしますが・・
100巻発売間近というコトであえて辛口で！

やはり初期~中期~後期（現在）に至る刊行の中で作品のクオリティーは正直下がってきていると思います。

1情景描写、心理描写がコトゴトク長い！

2物語が拡散傾向にあり、張られた伏線（もしくは本筋）が収束されていない。

3人物設定の変化の仕方に合理性があまりない・・（初期段階の人物設定と今現在の人物設定に至る過程が上手くつながってない！！）

4最初に指摘した部分に付随すると思うのですが・・１巻あたりの物語としての密度が過度な情景描写等により薄くなりつつある。

まぁ色々としつこい割には読み続けてしまう作品なので、最低限の質は
クリアしているとは思います。

グインサーガもいよいよ９９巻。栗本さんもあとがきで書いていますがグイン生誕から２６年・・・なんともすごいことです。

また、オールドファンには懐かしいセリフや人名が出てくるので、そういった意味で昔を思い出しながら楽しむこともできます。（Ｐ３０３のセリフの数々が、何巻で誰が言ったのか、答えられる人は相当なグインマニアですね。）

本巻は悩むグインの愚痴につきあわされた感じですが、次はいよいよ１００巻目。怒濤の展開を期待しています。

少し飽き飽きするストーリー展開と言うのが
個人的な見解です。

もう何度も同じシーンや感情場面を
繰り返し見ている錯覚に陥ってしまうのは私なのでしょうか。
イシュトのいらいら、グインのおちつき、
ちょっぴり新しい不思議なものとの出会いと
それに付随するグインの出生の秘密の若干のネタアカシまたは
今後の展開への布石。
あまり新鮮味が感じられませんでした。

ストーリー展開にそんなに文句を言うなら
じゃあ読まなきゃいいだろって自分で自分に
つっこみたいのですが
個人的には　最近だらだらしている気がしつつも
ここまで読んだのでやめられません。

もう読むのはやめようと思い始めてから
だいぶだっているのですが。
とりあえず、先を知りたいのだということで
星二つ。
