「ネプチューン」と「今はもういないあたしへ…」の２作品が書かれています。
こんなに人間的な文章でありながら、読み終えると　怖さと切なさ、虚しさを残してくれる…
新井さんの文章力には毎回、感銘を受けます。
両作品共、人間って何なのだろう、生きるって何なのだろう、と考えさせられます。

哲学的な内容の話２作品である。どちらも読後が恐い。でも考えてしまうんだな。

『ネプチューン』
新井さん独特の一人称だけど、神の視点の話だなぁ。
漂流してきた謎の少女を巡り、３人の男女が巻き込まれていく。
生物の進化って、何らかの意志みたいなもの働いてない？という話。
科学者がよく口にする言葉だ。世の中に偶然はないという思想だね。
しかし新井さんの書く女の子って、無邪気だからこその恐さがよく表現されている。
無垢なる魂って、実は何者より恐いんだよー、と言っている気がする。
強いとも言うけど。

『今はもういないあたしへ…』
体調が良い時に限って読もう。脳みそが風邪気味だとヤバイと思う。
リノウムの床が何故か恐い…カツーン、カツーン、とゆー音が聞こえるようで恐い。
内容は魂のお話。ココロって、身体のドコにあるの？という話だ。
当時、クローン羊とか脳死問題とかがあったからなぁ。
今もES細胞問題があるけれど。コレら、貴方はどう思うかの？
これ読んで、そこまでしなくちゃならないのかと思ってしまうようになった。
切実な人もいるんだろうとは理解しているのだけれど。
ココロって、ホントにドコにあるんだろう？また、ココロって何時出来るのかな？

　初めてこの作品に出会ったのはたしか中学生…
　内容がうろ覚えだったので、久しぶりに読み返しました。

　『ネプチューン』では、地球上のあらゆる生物が進化した理由の一つにこういうのってありじゃない？と納得してしまいます。

　『今はもういないあたしへ…』では、臓器移植によって助けられる命はたくさんあるものの、
物理的な拒否反応だけじゃなく、精神的（心）な拒否反応もきっとあるだろうなあと、これまた納得してしまいます。

　新井さんの作品は、軽い感じの一人称だからこそ重いテーマを身近に感じることができます。

　多感な時期に出会ったからかもしれませんが、特に印象深い作品です。
