中国語の学習はピンインが読めないと始まらない、と言われるほど重要ですが、多くの中国語学習書は文法が主で、ピンインは「ガイダンスレベル」のものが多いのが現状ではないでしょうか。このＣＤブックは、約６０ページ（薄くて携帯にも最適）のほぼ全てがピンインの練習です。発音し難いものや区別が難しいものは丁寧に「コツ」が解説されています。何よりも嬉しいのは、２枚の、計約１００分のＣＤ。ひとつひとつのピンインを、男女二人の中国人がゆっくりと発音してくれます。ちゃんと発音を学びたい方に、お薦めします。

　7月末、外国人として入社まもなく、会社から中国語を教えてくれと依頼されました。正直言うと、とても悩んでいました。

　確かに、他の中国人同僚（ほとんど日本語学校から出身）と違い、私は中国で夜間学校を通じて、日本語を勉強しました。そして、自分の国で外国語を勉強する上で、一番苦しいのは言語の発音で、その山を越えないと、なかなか後に進まないことが良く分かっています。

　絶対にしっかりの発音を教えなければと決心しましたが、先輩と一緒に何軒の本屋を回り、望ましい教科書が見つからなかった。そして、自分一人でアマゾンを調べるうちに、この本と出会った。最初は、NHKから出版したものですので、少なくとも悪くないと思いました。しかし、三ヶ月の教えを通じて、成果はびっくりするほどでした。本来つまらない発音の授業はみんなの協力で順調に進み、今みんなの発音も完璧でした。良い教えができました、ありがとう。

実際中国語を他の本で始めたところ、周りのネイティブにはクソミソに発音の悪さを指摘されたので、泣く泣くこの本を購入。その後、この本のCDに合わせて、自分ひとりでパソコンの音声レコーダーに吹き込んではそれを聞き返して、悪いところを直す・・・、延々とこれを続けたところ、どのネイティブにも「発音がとてもきれい」と褒められるようになりました。個人的にはあいまい母音とそり下音と呼ばれる日本語にまったく無い音の発音をクリアーすれば後はぐっと楽になったと思います。なれていくうちに、濁音・清音ではなく、無気音・有気音の違いもハッキリ聞き取れるようになりました。

ネイティブに言わせると多少不満が残るらしいですが、他の本には無い豊富な練習量が用意されているので、他の入門書とともに一緒に購入して、自分の音を吹き込んで練習すると非常に効果が高いと思います。
