類書がほとんどない中この本が出版された意義は大きい。しかし、すでに他の人が指摘したことを使う場合の引用の仕方に若干問題があるようだ。この本を卒業論文や修士論文のために読む人は、著者が申し訳程度に注に引いている文献にもれなくあたる必要があるだろう。場合によっては著者の注にたよらす自分で調べなおす必要があるかもしれない。もちろん著者の新知見も十分にあるのだが。
