一度読んでおもしろかった、
二度読んで、感動した。
三度読んで、彼女の世界に埋没し、もっともっと他の作品も読みたくなる。

その愛らしい、一見か弱そうな語り口に惑わされてはいけません。
この著者は、一筋縄ではいきません。

雰囲気に流されているようで、
本当は、冷静なプロットが隠されているのです。

読めば読むほど、その世界の深さが分かります。

なんてね。
理屈よりも、私は「一人目の王子」の潔さが好きさ。
彼に会いたくて、何度も読んでしまうのかも。

個人的には一人称の物語はあまり好きではないのですが、これは違和感なく読み進められるので、一気に読んでしまいました。主人公の心情が分かりやすいので軽い読書に最適です。かなり面白いと思いますが、ボリュームが少し足らないのと、意外性が欠けたということで、星４つ。

誰もが知っているアラビアンナイトをベースとした物語。
というかファンタジー。
私はファンタジーに対して抵抗はないので比較的すんなりと物語を楽しめたし、子供だけを意識した内容ではないので大人になってからでも楽しめる一冊だと思う。
子供の頃読んだアラビアンナイトをもう一度読み返したくなる。

実は現代のどこにでもいる女の子が、そのまま魔法の力を手に入れて魔人族（ジン）となり、少し大胆に、少し優しく成長する姿を追っていく。

個人的には１章で別れたままのハールーンよりも、物語の大半を通して一緒にいたラシードに惹かれない（惹かれているのに認めなかったのかも？）点は納得できないが、もしかしたらそれこそが１５歳、恋に恋するお年頃の特権なのかもしれない…。

続編といわれている『樹上のゆりかご』もぜひ一読してもらいたい。
アラビアンナイトの世界から帰ってきた「ジャニ」ことヒロミが、現実世界でどんな高校生になったか、こちらは完全にファンタジーではないものとして仕上がっている。
どちらもあっさりと読めて、私は好きだ。
