シリーズ最終巻。といっても、時系列は「スカイ・クロラ」が最後なのですが。

…「僕」って誰？
この本はそれにつきる…とまでは言いませんが、まさか最後の最後でこんなに悩まされる
ことになるとは思いませんでした。もはやミステリです。
もう一度、「スカイ・クロラ」から読み直せざるをえないじゃないですか！
喜んで。
何ていうか、森博嗣さんの術中にはめられたなって感じです。

気持ち悪さなんて微塵も残りません。
ただ空を飛ぶことを望む主人公の姿の、なんと純粋で、儚いことか。
そんなどこまでも澄みきって、読者までも夢の中にいるかのような錯覚を起こさせる
作品なのに、読了後の興奮は醒めません。

ぜひ、「スカイ・クロラ」から読むことをお勧めします。
そしてこの「クレイドゥ・ザ・スカイ」の、最後の一言の余韻を楽しんでください。

前巻までは、一人称視点の語り口に、ミステリーで培われたと思われる情報の抑制が効いていて、絶妙な小説だと思っていました。しかし、この巻では主人公「僕」は誰？ということに読者の関心が向くようになっており、まさに犯人捜しをするミステリー小説のようになっています。

私は、ミステリー小説を読むと、読者を誘導しようとする姑息な作者の姿が見えてきて楽しめないたちなので、他の巻では感じなかった不満を感じながら読むことになりました。そういった点で、すこしこの巻は毛並みが違います。
最後に主人公は明かされますが、どうとでも取れるようなもので、それまたもどかしい。

でも、クサナギとカンナミの関係が示唆されたり、物語の時系列的に次のスカイ・クロラでの登場人物の気持ちを推察したりと、最初に戻って読み返したいという気持ちが起きますので、シリーズ中で必須の巻と言えるでしょう。

思うに私の感想って、本当に自分の気持ちの感想文です。初めて本を手にする人に参考にはならないでしょうね（笑）読んだ人には理解してもらえ得るのかと・・・。あなたはそう感じたんだ・・と。おっと、ムダ話！！失礼しました。この本は本当に「どういうこと？」主人公は「誰？」僕は・・・って語られる主人公が本当にだれなのか・・終い近くまでわからず・・・・やっとわかったと思ったら、エピローグでまた「どういうこと？？？」なんとなくわかるけど、どうしてなのか・・絶対続き読まないといけません。逝けないんです。精神的な意味でも快感的な意味でも、すっきりしてイキたいんです。イっちゃいたいんです。この続き・・文庫本が出たら絶対読みます。もう、ハードカバーでは発行されてるんで文庫化まちです。最後にこの森さんって作家すごくね？？
