5.0 out of 5 stars 中国古代兵法、武経七書の一つ, 2004/6/24
この書は漢の高祖劉邦の軍師であった張良が、若かりし頃に黄石公という仙人から六韜と共に授けられたといわれ、その両著の著者は太公望といわれております。もっともこの逸話は伝説であり、また後世の兵法家が太公望の名前を借りただけというのが実情のようです。

しかし内容に目を転じますと、千年以上の時を経てもそれほど変わることの無い普遍的な道理が記されており、現代においても充分応用可能な部分もあるかと思います。

他の兵法書と比べてみますと、孫子は主に将軍の視点から、この三略は君主或いは宰相からの視点から書かれています。したがって人材運用や人心獲得、信賞必罰や率先垂範などについても書かれており、軍事学というよりは政治学に近いかも知れません。

小説家の方が書いているので現代語訳も読みやすいです。

アメリカの《成功哲学》は確かに素晴らしいが、一つだけ欠けているものがある。それは、人間に対する《洞察》、特に、人間の悪に対する《洞察》である。その点に関して言えば、やはり中国の古典は素晴らしい。人間の悪に対する深い《理解》と、悪に対する《対処法》が、実に簡潔に描かれている。アメリカの《成功哲学》を補完するものとして、中国の《古典》をオススメします。本書も、時代を越えた素晴らしい名著です。

“夫れ主将の法は、努めて英雄の心を攬り（とり）、有効を賞録し、志を衆に通ず”かの北条早雲が、講学者より『三略』進講の際、果たして兵法の極意を知るに至ったといわれるのが、本著最初頭にある本一節である。『三略』は其の名の通り三部よりなる：「上略」「中略」、そして「下略」がそれである。うち「上略」は、立派な人物を招くには手厚い礼遇と恩賞が必要であること、多数ある家臣より奸臣を見抜きこれを迅速に排除すること、部下の賞罰の際には極力厳正確実でなければならぬこと、「中略」では、王者や覇者の得行、ならびに大事成就のためには臨機応変の戦略が重要であること、して最後の「下略」では、天下泰平の為には道徳・道義これが必須不可欠であり、自身をも含め現況をいかに厳格に見定め、かつ賢者をして統治にあたる事の重要性、が詳しく敷衍、力説されている（本著七十三頁よりママ或は改変）。『孫子』が実心備えた軍学書とすれば、『三略』は王者たる“道”に力点をおいた人心掌握の兵学書といえ、その真偽は問わずとも、本著が“武経七書”の一書とされてきたのは当然のことであろう。小生が最も好む言句は「下略」にある以下の一節に見える（本著八十八頁の四）。“道・徳・仁・義・礼、五つのものは一体なり。道は人の踏む所なり。徳は人の得る所なり。仁は人の親しむ所なり。義は人の宜しき所なり。礼は人の体する所なり。一も無かるべからず”すなわち、“人の上に立つ者は、何よりも道・徳・仁・義・礼の五つの徳目を身につけて、自分を正すことが大切なのである”。これは言うべくもなし、昨今問わず国家論、及び組織論の真髄かつ原理である。為政者あるいは長たる者が、これをして統御すれば、自ずと堅固・強壮となり、治安よく、かつ道義相照らすものとなりえよう。人率の者は、『孫子』と共に、『三略』を座右の書となし、衆生は本著をして現代の“王者”に仕えてほしいものである。
