重松清が婦人雑誌に連載していた12の短編集です。この本では、「婦人雑誌の特集と連動する形で小説を書く」、
というシゲマツ自身が設定したルールが生きていて、重松清的だけれどもちょっと新鮮で、かなり面白く仕上がった
作品だと思います。

また、12の短編のうち４つは『となりの花園』春・夏・秋・冬と、ニュータウンでの子どもを持たない

DINKSの夫婦＆お隣のしあわせ計画家族の１年を追う連続短編になっていますが、
きっちり婦人誌の春夏秋冬に合わせて書いたようで、文庫本でも他の短編にはさまっていて、
一冊の本の中で時間軸があって非常に面白いマジックだと思いました。
なんとなく登場人物の心の変化を追体験している感じで、他の短編を読んでいる時も先が気になって仕方がありません。

個人的には夫や子どもを置いて偽名で同窓会一泊旅行に出る『一泊ふつつか』が好きでした。ちょっと孤独な心情や
行動の描写がとても上手に描いてあって本当におもしろい。あぁ、寂しい時ってこんなアヤシイ行動とるなぁ、と。
いつもながらどうしてこんなさりげない動きを描写できるんだろう、と。

また、城址公園を訪れた何人もの人々を入れ替わり立ち代り描いてゆく『いらかの波』、おばあちゃん同士の
奇妙な友情を扱った『千代に八千代に』、離婚しかかった夫婦が苦労した母を思う『ミナナミナナヤミ』、
タイトルどおりちょっと青春な『YAZAWA』やいかにも怪しい『分家レボリューション』、（私も経験あって共感できたの

ですが）両親が離婚して明日から苗字が変わるぞ、と12歳の少年がけじめ付けイベントを決行する
『モッちん最後の一日』など、ひねりのきいたおもしろい作品ばかりでした。

全体として、「となりの花園」のお隣さんの反抗期の中学生の描写など、ちょっと生きていないなぁ、と思う

ところもありますが、いつものシゲマツよりも生き生きした、「面白い」小説だと思います。

本書は「婦人公論」に１年間連載された家族小説集である。心にじかに語りかけてくるような一節、文句などがあってどれも素晴らしい小説ばかりである。若い夫婦、両親が離婚してしまった一人息子、本家と分家、「家族の幸せに満ちた生活はかくあるべきだ」というテーゼを貫こうとする奥さんとその家族、離婚に直面した結婚して１年しか経っていない夫婦･･･さまざまな切り口と断片で「家族」というものの何かを炙り出してくれているような気がする。重松清の世界にまたずぶずぶとはまり込んでいきそうな予感がする。

郊外のニュータウンの一戸建てに移り住んだDINKS夫婦の1年を描いた４編の連作短編を軸に、全１２編からなる。
重松清得意の「家族」「夫婦」がテーマ。いつものことながら著者は家族を描くのがうまい。
特別な事件は起こらない。でも「普通」の家族にもいろいろ悩みがあったり、ちょっとした問題を抱えていたりする。

ほのぼのとしたおかしさとの中に哀愁が見え隠れし、感動する。

中国地方の小さな町を舞台に、老いた両親だけがすむ実家に東京から帰省した夫婦、２０歳前に駆け落ちで故郷を捨てこの町に落ち着き、いまは子供と３人家族となった若い夫婦、雑誌の取材で町を訪れふと、離婚して別れたきりの子供を思う中年カメラマンという３組が一瞬交錯する「いらかの波」が中でも印象的。離婚の果てのない話し合いの中でふと思い出した亡き母の口癖が題名になった「ミナナミナナヤミ」、同窓会に出席するため夫と子供を留守番にして帰省した妻のちょっとした心の動きを描いた「一泊ふつつか」。両親が離婚したことであだ名の「モッチン」の元となった望月の姓を捨てることになった１２歳の少年を描いた「モッチン最後の日」は微笑ましさの中に、ほの哀しい気分が見え隠れする重松清の真骨頂的作品。
