北 一輝
1883‐1937。佐渡に生まれる。早稲田大学の聴講生として上京、明治39年『国体論及び純正社会主義』を自費出版するが発禁。宮崎滔天の紹介で中国同盟会に加入。辛亥革命が起きると中国に渡り、帰国後『支那革命外史』を著す。その後再び中国に渡るが、五・四運動に直面して、『国家改造案原理大綱』(のち『日本改造法案大綱』と改題)を執筆。西田税らを通じて皇道派青年将校に深い影響を与え、二・二六事件では黒幕と見なされ銃殺刑に処された(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

日本の名著のものは分かりやすい。日蓮が八幡や賀茂を朝廷が大切にした為に天照大御神が彼の生地である安房東条に降り立ったとか一種エキセントリックなまでの神憑りと土俗性が見て取れるだろう。法華系新興宗教の行動原理にも共通する。

一天四海回帰妙法、石原莞爾、井上日召はじめ当時の大アジア主義者はすべからく法華経信奉者或いは日蓮崇拝者であった。日本が法華経の国であり世界が全て日本の法華経に帰依するという日蓮の行動原理が彼らを魅了した。井上の場合「梅の実」に見られる神憑り北も毎日狂気の如く法華経を読誦し妻を中継ぎにして死んだ宋教仁の亡霊と話すとか大本教の開祖で怪物と呼ばれたシャーマンの出口王仁三郎でさえ北の霊力には圧伏されるといわれた記録が弟や妻の証言から読みとられる。見落とされ勝ちだが彼がこの書に置いて法華経や日蓮を引用し自分と照らし合わせている事。西天開教即ち中国やインドに法華経を広め折伏しようとした日蓮に自らを重ね合わせていた北のエートスが良く分かるであろう。
