吉本さんのお話の共通点は、読んだ後、とってもやさしい気持ちになれること。

久々に読んだ本書もそのとおりで、今、“ホワン”とした気分になっています。「自分の人生の真ん中に立てるように」と母に名づけられた「まなか」と、その幼馴染の裕志。読んでいる間、特殊な環境の中でけなげに生きる２人を応援しているつもりだったけど、実は自分が二人に応援されていたことに気づいた。

　人間、どんな環境だって、ひねくれずに誠実にいかなきゃね！！

よしもとばなな作品でもはっきり好き嫌いが別れる私ですが、この作品は読んで何度も何度も涙しました。
たしかオウム事件の直後にかかれた本のはずですが、愛するものと、ひとつの世界観を共有できることの重みが、やさしい文体の中からくっきりと伝わってきます。
おすすめの一冊です。

このお話、大好きです。いい仕事につきたい、だからこれとこれをする。そんな私の策略的ともいえる考え方や思いをやさしくほぐしてくれる本です。
生きるっていい仕事するだけじゃない。
そんな当たり前だけど、忘れがちな大切なことを主人公のまなかが教えてくれます。
キャリアやブランド、個性が注目される社会からすると、主人公たちはぷらぷらしていて、どうしようもない若者の一人かもしれません。
でも、自分や大切な人たちに真摯に生きることに一生懸命になる。
そういうことが大切なんだなあと思わせてくれる1冊です。
もし忙しい日々に疲れている方がいて、大切な何かを見失いそうな人がいたら、
ぜひ読んでもらいたい本です。
薄青い膜につつまれたような、穏やかな気持ちになれると思います。
