　自殺を国が斡旋・幇助するようになった日本のお話。

　まず、自殺自由法に関する細部と、その周辺の物事との関係にリアリティがないので、そのへんを突っ込みたくなる人にはお勧めしない。
　また、人が死ぬ場面のグロいシーンも多い。

　国が用意した自殺施設（ここで死ぬ事は「自逝」と呼ばれる」）には、長蛇の列ができる。
それだけ人々は自殺を簡単に選び、また、自逝が人生の選択肢として身近なものになる。
　これが話の前提。
　これを当たり前のこととして、自逝をめぐる人々を描いてはいるのだが、テーマがテーマだけに、もっとシリアスに書いたほうがおもしろかったのではないか、と思う。人物の心理もすごく単純化されているように思う。どうもノリで突っ走った感じの部分が目に付き、ただ「こんな事態になったら、こんなこと、ありそうだよな」ということだけで終わってしまっているような気がする。
　どうして人々が自逝を選びがちになるのか、そこのところをしっかりと書いておく必要があったのではないか。そこが甘かったから、物語の中で死を選ばない人の存在に、強い違和感を残すことになったのだと思う。

ここ最近のヒット！　久々です。　ようやく新しいもの書くことにしたのねんって感じで、もういっきに読んでしまいました。　それはどうしてか？　なんせ、どうしてどうして、早く知りたい、何が・・・？言えない。　どうしてしまったのか戸梶！！！　おもしろいぞ！！　ほんと。

　国が自殺を認めた。
　自由法とはいうものの、自由どころか国はむしろ推奨している。描かれるのは自殺する側の人間の心情だけで、その法の細部や国が勧める理由などは意図的になのか、描かれない。リアリティが無いっちゃ無いが、そこが狂気じみていて洗脳的で不気味さを感じる。何も疑問を感じず（登場人物の幾人は感じるが結局死ぬ）自ら死ぬ。どんどん死ぬ。
　これをシリアスにシリアスに描かなかったことで、何というか味が出ていると思う。読後の後味は悪いですよ。良い（？）意味で。
