一巻・二巻と読んできて、この三巻一番びっくりしたのはこれってSFだったの？と思わせるところでしょうか。（もちろんファンタジーなのですが・笑）
いい意味で期待を裏切られました。
この第三巻では主人公の行末に一応決着がついた形になっています。

でも私には「これからが本当の冒険で今まではその為の準備の冒険だったんだ」と思えてなりません。15歳という一番多感な時期に自分の知っていると思っていた事がほとんど通用しない試練の旅に、知恵と勇気と愛と持ち前の体当たり精神（主人公はこれが身を助けていたような・・・）で乗込んでゆく、そして色々な物を手にして戻ってくる、という自分にも覚えのある身近な物語。
ハラハラ、ドキドキ、恋と冒険がお好きな方はどうか一度手にとって見て下さい

この巻でひとまず一区切りとなります。けれど、まだまだ謎は多いままです。

女王は一体どうしているのか。
バードと行ったあの場所は・・・。
世界の果ての壁の秘密は一体。
ユーシスは、いったいどうなってしまうのか。彼が思い描いたことは・・・。

フィリエルはもとより、ルーンも大きく成長しています。けれど、その分幼い面も沢山あって、読んでいてとても楽しいです。

外伝では、幼いフィリエルとルーンが出てきます。どうしてルーンがフィリエルのことが好きなのか、この話を読んで、なんとなくわかりました。
幼いフィリエルはなかなか不思議な発想をしています。けど、結局は優しい子供です。

一番最後の数ページには、十八歳になった二人の様子が描かれています。そのシーンに、思わず微笑んでしまいました。

展開がとても楽しいので、ぜひ見てください！

5.0 out of 5 stars 「旅立ちの巻」「戦いの巻」よりこの「世界の扉の巻」が好き, 2007/8/31
前半分では、東の覇権国ブリギオンがグラール乗っ取りを試みます。グラール国の一大事とレアンドラ、アデイルの王位争いは停戦し、協力してブリギオン国に立ち向かうことになります。コンスタンス女王はフィリエルの勇気に感心し先の2人に加えて彼女も女王位継承権者の1人と認めます。荻原規子さんはアーサー王物語が大好きなのではと思われる箇所が随所に。
でも、面白いのは後半の外伝です。フィリエル8歳のとき名前もなかったルーンがやってきます。そしてフィリエルとルーンはいろんな事件や試練があってそれぞれ強烈な個性を持ちながらも仲良くなります。・・この2人の気持ちの通じ方からすると「旅立ちの巻」はやや矛盾があるような気がします。それは外伝があとで付け加えられたからでしょう。
フィリエルの養母タビサ・ホーリーのペイルトン町にいた頃の思い出や出来事もすばらしい。
