以前新書版で全5巻+外伝2巻で発売された作品が
ハードカバーになりました。
この1巻には、1巻と2巻が収められているそう。

内容は、異世界ファンタジー。
田舎でヒッソリ暮らしていた、主人公の女の子フィリエルは、
王女様候補たりえる血を持つ事がわかりますし、
宮廷、女子高(修道院？)など、女の子が好きそうな

舞台設定満載(一昔前の少女漫画風ともいう)で、
少女向けファンタジーが好きな人には堪らない作品です。

とりあえず、1巻段階では正統派。
驚くべき正統派の異世界ファンタジーです。

タイトルに裏切られ、魔法を使う魔女は出てはきませんが、極上のファンタジーには変わりありません。この作者どくとくの世界が広がって、勾玉ファンには待ってました！と言わせるものがあります。もちろん勾玉ファンの方でなくても十分楽しめます。

物語は、元王女の娘とは知らずに育ったフィリエルが、父親からもらった、母親の形見のネックレスをつけたことら始まります。世界の謎、女王を巡っての争いに巻き込まれ、幼馴染のルーンとの淡い恋を交えながら進んでゆきます。
最初のページの詩が謎めいていて、多分、これが世界の謎解きのヒントになっているのではないかと。。。とにかく気になります。

この本も、佐竹美保さんの挿絵があることが決め手で購入しました。

挿絵のおかげで、なんとか最後まで読み切りました。
ファンタジーで、文章だけで映像を構築できる人と、
挿絵の助けで読み進める人がいると思います。

私は後者です。

佐竹美保さんの挿絵の版をおよみになることをお勧めします。

コミックとアニメが気に入った人は、書籍の導入としてはいいかもしれません。
