著者の他の類書と読みくらべてみましたが、著者の類書の中では、一番やさしく書いてある本だと思います。何か一冊を最初に読みたいのであれば、この本でしょう。よく話が組み立てられており、新書でページ数も少ないながら、読み応えのある内容です。この本を読まれると、著者の他の類書の理解も進むのではないかと思います。

何らかの受験生がこの本を読まれると大変参考になると思いますが、それ以外の方もご自分の職業ジャンルを問わず読まれると、日々の仕事の上での考えるヒントを貰えるのではないかと思います。

「生きるということは、何か起こるかわからない不確実性にいかに向きあうかということが本質なのです。」「感情は、理性にコントロールされているのではなく、むしろ理性を支えている」などのメッセージは大変心に残りました。

お子さんをお持ちのお母さんにもお薦めです。

テレビ番組の「世界一受けたい授業」とかにでていた著者の著書。

テレビ番組内で紹介されていたことよりも、やっぱり本のほうが内容が濃いので面白い。

ひらめきが生まれる瞬間の脳の喜びというものは、とても贅沢なものであるということがわかった。
そして、そのひらめきにいたるまでの悶々としたような時間も実は贅沢な時間であるという考え方も、
とても前向きでいいなと思った。

この本をよんだら、「悩む」ということは悪いことではないのだ、
と思えるようになった気がする。

脳の学者、茂木健一郎が意識や脳の働きに関して書いた本で、この著者の本の中でもかなり読みやすい感じでした。
著者が研究している「クオリア」についての研究を初めたきっかけなどが書かれていて、著者の研究や著作、活動の原点をわかりやすく書いてあるといった感じです。
