森山大道の撮る写真は、どこかザラザラしている。
なにげない風景を撮っても、気配を感じる。
街中に張られたポスター（写真）を撮るという逆説的な意味での写真。
瞬間を撮るのではなく刃物で削り撮る感じ。

森山の写真には人の気配がない。
まるで、だれかの作り出した夢の中を覗いているような。
感情を持ったコンピューターの夢の中のような。

写し出された世界はザラザラした膜でシャットアウトされている。

そこは誰も侵入できない。撮影している本人でさえも。

しかし、我々は欲する。その世界を。

4.0 out of 5 stars 復刻版ではなくて縮小版, 2008/4/6
「にっぽん劇場写真帖」は森山さんの処女写真集にして森山調が既に漂っていて、
数ある森山さんの写真集の中でも大好きな１冊です。
寺山修司さんの文章がまた独特の雰囲気を醸し出しています。

残念なことに、このフォトミュゼシリーズ版は、
復刻版というけれどもオリジナル版とはサイズも形も違う。

図書館で見たオリジナル版は１．５回りくらい大きく、正方形に近い形。
随分復刻版とは雰囲気が違います。

ただ、オリジナル版は今や１０万円以下では買えないようなので、
このフォトミュゼ版は普及版（といってもプレミア価格だけど）として価値があるのでは？
