正直、今までの作品に比べ、この作者の文体の持つ透明感や美しさが減ってしまったように感じました。
色っぽい表現も迫力に欠け、以前の作品ほどひきこまれませんでした。
このような作品ならば石田さん以外でも書けるのでは？
ただ、やはり文章は上手で最後まで作品を引っ張る強さはあります。
石田さんならもっと独自の世界に昇華できたのではということで、星3つ。

石田衣良の時代を切り取る眼は衰えていない…筈だが、この作品はいつもの「らしさ」が希薄。

性的な行為を描くことに迷いがないことは、近作の「逝年」あたりでも実証済みであるし、この作品でもキラリとした表現を散りばめてはいるのだが、全編を通じて澱んだ雰囲気が支配する。

とすると…実はこれは私小説ではないのかと勘繰ってもみたくなる。

一気に読了させられたものの、引っかかるものがあったので星は3っつ。

石田衣良ファンとしてあえて書きます。
成功者の火遊びを描いただけのストーリーで、読み終えた後に何も残りませんでした。
ベッドシーン描写が多い割に登場人物の内面についての描写が足りないため、まるでソフトな官能小説のようです。
作者の名を借りて別人が書いたようで、正直この作品は無かったことにして欲しいです。
