明るいなごみ系パニック小説とレビューに書いてあったが、どちらかというとシニカル？
全篇笑いに満ちていながらも、徹底したシュールでブラックかつシャープな視点。
そうとう鋭い。
まぁ非常に笑えて、大変良かったのは確か。

既存の養毛剤に愛想をつかした開発者が、藻類を活かして髪を捏造するという偽養毛剤「BH85」を開発した。しかし、上司に秘匿で勝手に流通させた結果、使用者に降りかかった偶然から、「BH85」は森羅万象と「融合」してしまう異常植物へと変態を遂げてしまう。かくして、地球は異常植物に侵食され、それを免れたのは限られた僅かな人々だけなのだった…。
常識的な視座に立てば、地球上の人間、動植物が悉く一つに融合して文明が滅ぼされてしまうのは、恐々となる大惨事に思える。だが、それによって大切な人や想い出が共有されたり、人類の脅威である筈の異常植物が難を逃れた人々に篤実だったりと、何もかもが善意に満ちているのだから、何とも心暖まる。地球を破壊しつくした人類への応報と、それでも自然界が人類へみせる赦し。これはファンタジーノベル大賞に至極相応しいテーマに思える。
コミカルなキャラクター達とラノベタッチの挿絵によって悠然とした夢空間にデコレートされた、臆することなく気軽に読める作品ではある。しかし、この自然との共生を改めて考えさせられる、異色のパニックノベルを読む意義は、決して軽いものではない。
