この本を読んで「女は強くていいんだ」「女は強くなくちゃいけないんだ」と初めて思えた。
子供の頃から「強いことはよくない」という風に思えるような事が多くあったので、「強くなると周りに迷惑をかけるから、弱いほうがいい」という風潮が家の中にあった。
そして、今の自分は本当に本当に弱い。
でも、弱いと辛いなぁと思っていた所に、この本と出会いました。
これからはちょっとずつでいいから　強くなりたいです。

生きていくという事はけっしていい事ばかりじゃない。むしろ痛い事が多い。でもそれでも、淡々と生きていく。時に笑いながら、時に心をごまかしながら。ギャク漫画でもさえ渡る西原理恵子ですが、この漫画の様な根底があるからこそだと思います。知り合いが、生きるのがつらくなる話と評してましたが、私はそうは思いません。どこかしらからにじみ出る希望を感じました。後、西原作品の美しい野原という作品も読んでみてください。同じにおいを感じ取れます。

３０歳を手前にした私は、西原さんが言うように楽になれるのか心配だった。
「早く、こっちにおいでよ」と言う作品の中のおばちゃん（敬意を込めて）に
ものすごく優しさを感じた。

そして、本当に歳を重ねることは大丈夫なような気がした。
パーマをかけてカラフルな髪のおばちゃんたちの下世話で生活にあふれていて、
ダメな男にめっぽう弱いのにパワフル。

その全てに「それでいいんだよ」と言ってもらえたような気がして、
おいおい泣いてしまいました。

嘘つきの女の子をなんで責めてしまったのか悩む
作者の人間愛の深さにも感動してしまいます。

縁起でもないことかもしれないけれど、
私が死んだ時には、一緒に棺おけに入れてもらいたい。

ピタッと寄り添ってくれて心から離れない磁石のような作品です。
西原さん、あなたのお陰で救われました。

どこか現実味のない恋の語りが、切なくてこっそり小さな諦めも用意しているような、心に響くいいマンガでした。西原さんの作品の中でもすきな作品です。
