「レインボーシックス」は、現代の国際犯罪に唯一対応する秘密組織。どこにも公式には存在を認めていないが、集まっている人々は、各国情報機関、捜査機関、軍隊などのエリート集団。ここのトップは、永遠の主役ジャック・ライアンの親友でもあるジョン・クラーク。ここに新しい主役となるクラークが活躍するあたらしいストーリーが始まることになりました。

ただ、どうも私には、クランシーらしいプロットの正確さなどよりも、対テロリスト部隊の活躍物語が目立ちすぎ、いまいち楽しめなかったともいえるかも。
これまで、クランシーの本を読み続けてきた人には、物足りないかも！

戦闘力は抜群だが、情報収集能力が欠片もない特殊部隊。
計画力は抜群だが、いざとなると詰めが甘い、戦闘能力が欠片もない悪の組織。
二つの組織が大激突！

これがパロディか、ブラックユーモアとして書かれているならまだ読めるが、著者のクランシーは大真面目に書いているもんだから、ただただ白ける。

文庫本一冊にまとまっているならまだいいが、本作品は文庫本四冊分。文庫本を四冊読んでこの有様では、腹が立つだけ。
