いい大人でも楽しめる不思議の世界。色々なところでその引用を目にする本作を手元においてきっちり読んでみようと思い購入しましたが、想像以上につじつまが合わない、脈絡の無い物語。でも読み進めることにストレスは無く、最後にはアリスと同じく何が起こっても驚かなくなっていました。読み終えたあとの満足感、このお話が100年以上を経てもなお多くの人に支持されている事実にも納得。

ただ、訳者は矢川澄子さんなのですが難しい言葉遊びをリズムよく訳していることには感心するものの、個人的には表現が古いと感じることも多々ありました。ほとんどの人が「3月ウサギ」（March Hare）と思っているものを「ウカレウサギ」と訳するところも違和感を持ってしまいました。ゆえ評価から１点をマイナス。確かに訳本って難しいのですが・・・。

矢川澄子さん訳のアリスは二番目に読んだ翻訳書ですが、個人的な感想としては何回か読みましたが馴染めなかったです。
でも、本人が詩人だからか駄洒落に対する訳がとても練られていてそれがとても私の目を引きました。
ダジャレのうまい表現を堪能するのはこれが一番かと思いました。

シリアスなアリスの世界を想像して
買いましたが、訳が微妙でした。
具体的に言うと、文の語尾が「〜でね」「〜ってさ」
だったり、アリスがちょっと下品な感じ
だったからです。好みが分かれると思いますが
私は受け入れられなかったです。
