著者略歴 (「BOOK著者紹介情報」より)

ボードレール
1821‐1867。フランスの詩人。大学法学部在籍中、友人の文学青年に感化され、以後放埒な生活を送りながら美術批評と詩を著す。処女作は1845年発表の批評『1845年のサロン』。代表作『悪の華』と没後’69年に出版された『巴里の憂鬱』に収められた散文詩は、従来の韻律にとらわれない斬新かつ画期的なもので、近代詩全般の基礎となった

三好 達治
1900‐1964。大阪市生れ。昭和を代表する抒情詩人。評論やエッセーも多い(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

ボードレールの散文詩集
雨の日曇りの日に音楽を聴きながら読むのにぴったりの１冊
著名な音楽家や画家に送った詩もあり
時代背景を考えたりすると楽しみも増えるかもしれません

古本で買ったので
前の人はよほど気に入っていたのか数箇所ドックイヤーができていた
それも古本の楽しみ

ボードレールって読みにくいと思っていませんか？この詩集を読むとそれが全くの読まず嫌いだってことがわかります。ボードレールぐらいお洒落で洗練された都会的な詩人はいません。是非都会の若い女性に読んでいただきたい。そしてちょっぴり孤独にひとりぼっちで夜の妖しい港に映る揺れる街明りのそばで煙草でも吹かしてふうっと嘆息でもひとつ？・・ちょいと知的にセンチメンタルになって欲しい。そんな素敵な詩集です。

ボードレールの散文詩です。『悪の華』とは感じが少し異なりますが、面白い詩が結構あります。
個人的に気に入ったのは、澁澤龍彦の随筆にもあったガラス屋のガラスを粉々に粉砕する男の話や、「貧民を撲殺しよう」の「他人と同等でであることを証明する者のみが他人と同等であり、よく自由を征服する者のみが自由に値するのだ」と囁かれて乞食をぼこぼこにした男の話です。
薄くて持ち運びにも便利です。
