柴田よしきさんの描く女性は、いつも強い。
でも、弱い点もちゃんと描く。
男からの印象です。

でもって、それがある意味彼女の作品にリアルさを
もたらしてるのかなーと思います。

本作品は、まさに題の通り働く女性の悩みを描いてます。

笑いあり、涙ありで、おもしろいです。

どちらかと言うと、彼女の作品の中でも軽く読めるタイプの
作品でいいと思います。

何の気なしに読んでみて
OL廃業16年経ってしまった主婦ですが面白かったです♪
主人公の墨田翔子やケアンズ在住の愛美の考え方や行動は
今も昔もあまり変わらないんだなァ…と思いました。
オーストラリアなんて興味なかったけど、この本読んでたら
ケアンズへ行ってみたくなりました。
英語のプロ(!?)になったのに
日本語がしゃべれるからケアンズでガイドをしているという愛美の現実が
妙にしんみりしちゃいました。
自分はさておいて
子どもの将来を模索しなきゃならない親という立場からすると
また違った感慨です。
何が幸せなのかの見極めは永遠の課題かもしれませんね...

2006年に話題になったanegoを見て、リアリティがいまいちだったけど、
こちらはもう少しリアルに近いような毒があってよい。
しかも、会社OLミステリってのが実際のOLにはつぼ。

ドラマ化しやすそうですね。
でも、企画部の年下男子の設定はやはりうなずけない。。

OLさんにオススメです。

その期待を裏切らぬ面白い作品ですね。
